Engineering Manager, Content & Workflows

As the Engineering Manager for the Content & Workflows team, you will play a key role leading the activities of the engineers within the team and working with Product Management to define the vision and plan for the team.

The IT Team strives to ensure that STV’s technology runs efficiently and helps to develop new processes in response to changing business requirements. 


Recently STV has invested heavily to deliver the latest technology across the group. The team currently have a vacancy for an IT Systems Specialist who will provide second line support for approx. 650 Office 365 users across Windows and Apple operating systems. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring, updating and dispatching Service Desk Tickets received from a number of different sources using the IT Service Desk System
  • Provision of Second Line Support for IT users by phone, email, face to face and remotely
  • Communicating with IT users of all levels and ensuring that users are kept up to date with the progress of their support requests at all times
  • Troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining desktops, laptops and printers
  • Documenting and following processes
  • Escalating calls to 3rd Line Support and reporting issues to IT Support Team Manager
  • Assist with any other aspect of the work of the Company as reasonably required.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 Operating Systems and Office 365 Desktop applications. PowerShell experience would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in Office 365 Administration, particularly Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Intune
  • Experience of supporting mobiles, tablets, and laptops is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and complete objectives without supervision
  • Microsoft Certifications and/or an IT related qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience with Apple products and JAMF would be advantageous.
