The Collectv was established in 2014, to provide systems integration, media management and support for broadcast, outside broadcast and post-production systems. In 2015 and 2017 we were awarded Emmys for Outstanding Technical Team Remote at the Olympics as part of NBC’s team. In 2024 we won the Broadcast Tech Team of the Year award at the Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards for creating an innovative technical solution for Tour De France Unchained series.
Our current experience spans the likes of Sky Sports’ Darts events, Formula One for F1 and Netflix (Drive to Survive), Dancing on Ice for ITV, Celebrity Bear Hunt for Workerbee, Winterwatch for the BBC and The Apprentice for Naked TV. In 2022 we launched Creative Remote, our remote offline post facility, delivering some of the largest global unscripted high-end television series including Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive To Survive and Apple TV’s Make or Break.

Key Accountabilities:
- Working to support the firm’s accountants, your main responsibilities will include;
- Recording all financial transactions
- Raising sales invoices and purchase orders
- Handling accounts payable and receivable invoices and coding them to the appropriate nominal ledger
- Maintaining company ledgers, posting journals for payroll, accruals, and prepayments
- Banking: setting up payments, recording transactions and reconciling the bank account
- Processing credit card transactions and staff expenses
- Credit control for accounts receivable
- Preparing annual company budgets
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliation schedule for company’s accountants
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing quarterly OPEX and expenses reports for cross charges within the group
- Gathering monthly information for external payroll administrators
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for accountants and submission of all supporting documents
- Accounts query resolution
- Providing additional administrative support such as Companies House confirmation statements, pension declaration forms etc.
- Dependent on skill level – an ability to prepare profit & loss statements, or assist the company’s accountants in producing them.
Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar role ideally with a relevant accounting qualification
- Excellent administrative and data entry skills
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Quickbooks (or similar online system) and Microsoft Office package, including Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems
- A good knowledge of VAT rules on standard company transactions
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good interpersonal and client service skills for dealing with clients, suppliers and other team member, with a flexible approach to work
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to plan tasks and prioritise effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience of post-production and/or outside broadcast environments
- Experience of data collection for carbon footprint measurement.
