Broadcast Assistant at Wimbledon 2025

We are looking to recruit a variety of people into the following Media teams at The Championships: Broadcast, Interview and Photography.

This position starts on Friday 20 June through to Wednesday 16 July. Training is included within this timeframe.

  • A keen interest in one of the mentioned media areas
  • Previous experience or studies in the fields of media operations, broadcast, journalism, communications, or photography, is desirable
  • Good knowledge of tennis
  • Excellent communication skills and English language skills (foreign language skills are desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure, and use initiative to resolve queries and solve problems in a busy environment
  • Good level of computer literacy, including moderate Excel skills
  • Trustworthy, hardworking, and reliable
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.


Important Information

  • Contracts vary in length - please see individual job descriptions below. For all positions you must be available for all 14 days of The Championships (30 June – 13 July 2025)
  • You will be required to attend an induction on site on or prior to your start date. Training dates will depend on the role
  • You must be 18 years or older before the start of employment, and have the right to work in the UK
  • If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre here at the AELTC in Wimbledon on Thursday 17 April.


What will you be doing?

When you complete your application, you will be asked to indicate which position you would like to be considered for:

  • Escorting TV crews for shoots around the Grounds. Supervising shoots and ensuring broadcasters achieve the material that they require
  • Making sure broadcasters follow AELTC policies and procedures while around the Grounds, ensuring a safe operation of camera crews around the Grounds
  • Support with daily checks of the Broadcast Centre and broadcast commentary boxes
  • Working on the Broadcast Reception, Bookings and Accreditation desks on a rota basis
  • Providing information and answering Broadcaster questions where appropriate
  • General ‘runner’ duties for the two Wimbledon Broadcast Services Production galleries – to include distributing scripts, collecting information, running errands
  • Keep the Broadcast tea & coffee station welfare area in the yard stocked, clean and tidy.
