Senior Internal Communications Officer

Are you a creative communicator with a flair for crafting engaging, compelling copy? 

We're looking for a Senior Internal Communications Officer to join our team in London.

Salary: £41,000 – £46,000 per annum.

There are two roles on offer (both maternity cover). One is an FTC/Secondment for 9 months and the other for 14 months. Please indicate in your covering letter which role you wish to be considered for. 


The roles offer a competitive salary and hybrid working with two days a week in the London office.


In this role, you'll take the lead on creating inspiring internal communication campaigns and projects, helping to connect our people with Which?'s purpose, strategy, and values.


Your ability to write clear, engaging, and impactful content will be at the heart of everything you do, from all staff emails and intranet updates to strategic campaigns that capture attention and drive engagement. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you'll ensure that our messaging resonates with a hybrid workforce, keeping employees informed, inspired, and aligned with our goals.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and deliver creative internal communication campaigns to engage employees with Which?'s purpose, strategy, and values
  • Act as a senior member of the Internal Communications team, deputising for the Internal Communications Manager where required and working directly with the Leadership team and CEO
  • Write engaging and impactful content for a variety of channels, including blogs, the intranet, and email communications
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to create targeted messages and campaigns that resonate with a hybrid workforce
  • Manage internal communication tools, such as the intranet and email marketing platforms, ensuring they are effective.


About you:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and compelling copy tailored to diverse audiences
  • A creative mindset with a talent for finding imaginative and innovative ways to engage employees across a hybrid workforce
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Confidence in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to achieve communication goals
  • Proficiency in using internal communication tools, including content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and basic image or video editing tools, to deliver dynamic content.


The interview process for this role involves:

  • 90 minutes - A competency based interview with a short writing task.
