Junior Product Manager

As a Junior Product Manager you will be involved in ALL of the product design process by managing the approved changes from inception to delivery.

You will ensure that all changes to the website, iOS and Android native apps, content management system (CMS), TV apps, and external integrations are delivered within the agreed scope, budget and time.


Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Product & Delivery, you will ultimately be responsible for managing change for ALL of the digital initiatives. You will collaboratively work within a small and dedicated digital team to ensure the product and service outputs meet our customer needs, and generate continued business value.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the digital team to collaboratively gather and document requirements
  • Manage end-to-end product change using both internal and external suppliers
  • Report and escalate risks and issues in an appropriate and controlled manner
  • Outline and own the creation of product roadmaps and plans
  • Identify areas for improvement across all digital products
  • Document and present reports using data that clearly communicates the results of your work and findings.


Experience:

  • Junior project or product manager 
  • A demonstrable portfolio of project / product work within the publishing, blogging or similar industry
  • Experience working with a content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience making changes to a website and/or native apps
  • Familiar with release processes
  • Experience using JIRA or similar project management tool
  • Experience working in a small and dedicated agile team.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, suppliers and customers to ensure that value is continuously delivered
  • A logical, step-by-step approach to ensure release and changes meet the required acceptance criteria
  • An open, flexible and adaptable mindset to cope with a rapidly changing set of tasks in an area of emerging, new technologies
  • The ability to relate well to other professionals and work in a specialist team.
