We now have an opportunity for a full time Engineering & Product Manager to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE


This role is focused on managing all aspects of our camera lens and lighting rental products from engineering, maintenance and product development perspectives - with the aim to ensure that our rental products always deliver the needs of our clients.


The role encompasses the following:


  • Service & Engineering: Performing service & engineering duties in-house, and liaising with suppliers when equipment needs to be serviced or repaired externally.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Ensuring all our rental equipment is continually upgraded to the latest firmwares, licences & includes any newly released accessories that can improve our customer experience.
  • Client Technical Support: Providing effective Technical support to our clients (both in house during camera preps and remotely), by effectively diagnosing and troubleshooting any technical issues and providing appropriate solutions.
  • New Product Development: Advising the company about any new equipment that Cameraworks and its clients would benefit from supplying, as well as creating detailed kit lists for the purchasing and liaising with suppliers.
  • Rental Software Updates: Leading the entry of new equipment into our rental software system to existing set procedures ensuring accuracy of information needed for carnets as well as the business.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This is a senior position which requires significant experience, so the successful candidate will:

  • Have several years' experience working in a technical role in an established rental or sales company within the industry.
  • Be experienced in performing camera & lens engineering tasks including shimming and the use of lens collimators.
  • Be a proactive self-starter who can take ownership of this aspect of the business and drive development and improvement.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of existing camera & lighting equipment and a strong interest developing technology and new equipment.

  • Job Title: Engineering & Product Manager
  • Reporting to: Managing Director
  • Salary: Negotiable subject to experience.
  • Hours: Full time, permanent, (Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week)
  • Start date: Negotiable subject to current employment circumstances.
