Head of Post Production sales

We are looking for Head of Post Production to join one of Britain's leading production and post-production facilities.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB 

 

The Head of Post Production is primarily responsible for all sales, marketing, quotation, prospecting and negotiation of Post Production facilities, services, and talent at Twickenham Film Studios. This individual will also manage all account managers, post producers, coordinators, and schedulers who alongside the Managing Director are responsible for sales opportunities, management, and coordination of all productions across our site.

 

The Head of Post Production also oversees the booking and resourcing of all talent, services and facilities and managing the booking system and priority etiquette for productions. Another key part of this role is the tracking of opportunities and sales leads and being prompt and proactive about attracting and securing work. The Head of Post Production should be reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances on a monthly basis and is a key contributor to the operating budget and sales forecasts.

 

This role is required to manage all Post Production film maker/customer relations, studio facility tours, promotional events, and client entertainment in conjunction with the Managing Director.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attracting new clients, building and maintaining existing relationships
  • Gathering relevant information from clients to prepare quotes, talent proposals, facility options and presenting those quotes to clients in a timely fashion
  • Developing bids and proposals that work within set operational guidelines for profitability and adherence to the operating budget
  • Work with the Managing Director to define and communicate the business’s KPIs and targets
  • Define data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimize the business’s commercial performance
  • Maximising company profitability
  • Ensuring the client database is up to date and accurate
  • Producing accurate monthly Post Production forecasts and financial projections and reporting variances
  • Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and acting as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions
  • Driving the communication of all sales leads and data to the Managing Director and initiating regular meetings with relevant Department Heads
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process and highlighting valuable emerging markets
  • Ensuring bookings are confirmed with Contracts and Purchase Orders
  • Organising kick off meetings with relevant staff in advance of projects, in line with client needs, schedules, budgets and required equipment
  • Liaising with the finance department regarding client billing and accounts receivable.


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years’ experience at a similar level within a large facility delivering high end content for film and television
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of contacts, build relationships and the ability to close deals
  • Proven track record of development of strong client relationships and sales within the Post Production community
  • Proven experience of P&L management and relevant experience of client billing and booking reconciliation
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise both personal and team workloads to ensure that tasks are delegated appropriately, and targets met within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a continually changing workload
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Excellent client relation skills and professional profile within the industry
  • Accurately assess staff and client needs and prioritise through diplomatic collaboration
  • Excellent level of knowledge of production and Post Production techniques, workflows, processes, equipment and talent
  • A logical and fast approach to problem solving, with a tolerance for ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Resilient, tenacious, flexible, diplomatic, committed with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to get involved with precise attention to detail.
