Artwork and Production Manager
An exciting an unique opportunity at Chelsea FC within the in-house, creative design studio as the Artwork & Production Manager, working across business-wide projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as the Artwork and Production Manager within the Chelsea FC in-house creative studio

You will be responsible for creating artwork for a range of projects covering 2D and 3D designs for print and digital, business wide.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Translate design layouts into production ready files across a wide range of formats, materials, substrates and applications.
  • Develop artwork for marketing campaigns across a broad range of channel applications including print and digital.
  • Develop artwork for non-campaign collateral including: stationary, signage & venue branding, event display, menus, tickets, magazines, programs, newsletters, literature, merchandise.
  • Ensure all executions are consistent, conform to brand guidelines and are suitable for multi-specifications and size ratios.
  • Prepare master files and templates, specifications, mark-up, proof and check all artwork.
  • Select and retouching high-resolution brand imagery and graphic assets.
  • Translation of static designs to smooth animations using digital editing software and motions design techniques for multiple digital interfaces.
  • Multi-task and prioritise across multiple projects in accordance with agreed production deadlines.
  • Generate short and long form copy, proof read and manage language translations ensure copy is signed off by native speakers in markets.
  • Liaise with external production vendors managing the transfer of files and the overall production process to completion.
  • Work closely with the Studio Operations Lead and Creative Lead to ensure all projects are delivered according to briefs and that the creative integrity is not lost at the production stage.
  • Support the Studio Manager in the maintenance of the server and it's assets (where artwork files are stored), filing and archiving accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the management of production processes will be expected to ensure designs are produced to a high quality standard and finish.

  • Technically minded, orderly and systematic. Enjoys working with specifications, developing efficient methods and templates.
  • Impeccable attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage delivery expectations.
  • Extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D print production techniques across a wide variety of materials and surfaces. Advanced knowledge of multi-interface digital production.
  • Extensive knowledge of graphic design with advanced skills using all Adobe Creative Software, After Effects, Premier. Knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint and template creation
  • Good interpersonal skills. Positive attitude. Enjoys working as part of a team as well as working independently. Good listening skills.
  • Adaptive to changes and able to multi-task, without compromising on standards, on a number of projects at any given time.
  • Sound understanding of brand development and the expression of the brand across multiple channels.



  • Experience working as a creative artworker with client-side or agency experience.
  • Solid experience as a creative artworker working across multiple brands and on a broad range of projects in-house or within a creative, marketing, design or brand agency.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating precision, production and editing skills across a wide range of 2D and 3D print projects as well as digital interface applications including motion graphics.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premier and Microsoft office software.
