Technical Content Coordinator

YANGA! is looking for a motivated self starter to join our small Operations team to assist in the operations of an exciting new channel in the UK.  


The role is initially for a 3 month contract, but with potential to become permanent.

The Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the life cycle of content, ensuring it reaches each stage of the workflow on time and in the correct format. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge regarding file formats. 


General responsibilities include:

  • Reviews the schedule and determines the content that needs to be delivered, where it is coming from and what workflow it needs to follow to reach transmission on time for broadcast.
  • Performs a QC check on all incoming content to ensure it meets the agreed standard.
  • Works with content partners to rectify any issues with the delivered material.
  • Ensures all parties in the content workflow deliver to agreed timelines and prioritise their work in accordance with the transmission schedule.
  • Transcoding files into the required transmission format. 
  • Manages the delivery of content into transmission.
  • Monitors the daily missing reports from transmission and updates stakeholders regularly on the status of deliverables.
  • Answers queries from content partners and transmission about file formats and content delivery.
  • Maintains regular housekeeping of all relevant storage systems both internally and externally. 
  • Takes initiative to manage workflows.

 

Candidate Profile


Experience:

  • Previous experience in media companies and in dealing with files for broadcast. Excellent knowledge of file formats.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Office, Final Cut and Adobe Premiere.
  • Strong communication skills and be experienced at building relationships across both internal and external teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Ability to deliver to tight transmission deadlines.
