International Business Affairs Manager
Audible, the world's largest seller and producer of spoken audio entertainment, is seeking an International Business Affairs Manager.

You will help Audible develop an acquisition plan for existing spoken-word content and audio rights.

About the Role
As Manager, International Business Affairs, you will help Audible to develop an acquisition plan for existing spoken-word content and audio rights with content creators, authors, agents, publishers and other rights holders throughout the world, with a focus on English language and foreign language opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify potential content partners in multiple territories and languages
  • Help to structure and initiate negotiations for new deals with content creators, agents, publishers, other rights holders and business development partners
  • Maintain good relationships with existing and potential partners
  • Help to develop a customer acquisition plan in a manner that supports business growth
  • Coordinate closely with members of the Business Affairs department and other areas of Audible to maintain consistency in licensor communications
  • Liaise with production, metadata, legal, finance, etc. to make sure the content is processing on schedule
  • Be required to travel internationally.

Please note that this is a 12 month contract position.

About You
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent required
  • Relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in negotiating complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner across different levels of an organization
  • Resourceful self-starter with an independent attitude and focus on excellence
  • Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment
  • Solid organizational and project management skills are also required along with the ability to work with cross functional teams under aggressive deadlines
  • Proven success in a content acquisition or business development department of a media company.
