Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager
We're currently seeking a Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager on a 12 month FTC who will focus on managing sales and delivery of commercial partnerships in the UK and International market.

We're currently seeking a Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager on a 12 month FTC who will focus on managing sales and delivery of commercial partnerships in the UK and International market. 

For this role you will have Established UK media agency/client relationships and contacts.

The Senior Sponsorship Manager will report to the VP of Ad Sales and will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities across the A+E Networks UK’s business portfolio of media channels including but not restricted to sponsorship, branded content, competition, digital and multi-media brand partnerships.

The role requires a senior media sales person to be responsible for day-to-day running of accounts and relationships across the AETN portfolio of channels in the UK, including HISTORY, Lifetime, Blaze, CI and H2. 

You will be required to work collaboratively with internal departments in the UK to produce both effective sales materials, as well as project manage efficient booking and delivery of campaigns across all platforms.
As well as independently selling campaigns to agencies and clients part of the role will involve supporting the Sky Media team in their drive to secure sponsorship deals.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Secure commercial partnerships across A+E Networks UK’s portfolio of television channels, digital platforms and media channels in the UK to meet and exceed sponsorship target. 
  • Manage and service agencies and clients, developing a close working relationship.
  • Work closely with sales agents around the region to understand their partnerships needs and deliver solution for their markets
  • Develop and maintain an effective database of new and existing clients with knowledge of planning cycles and processes.
  • Forecast revenues and develop a business plan to grow net revenue for partnerships and exceed targets set for the financial year.
  • Work closely with the creative and partnership team to provide best practices for the UK JV
  • Raise awareness about partnerships within the business
  • Work closely with the marketing, digital, research, programming, and production to develop multi-platform commercial opportunities and effectively manage smooth delivery of projects.
  • Administer the delivery of campaigns and create up to date files containing relevant information for all projects.
  • Evaluate opportunities to develop the non-linear sell and develop and business plan/strategy to achieve these objectives
  • Monitor and report back to agencies/clients on campaign deliveries. 
  • Engage in trade marketing activities to support ad sales process.
  • Responsible for managing UK Sponsorship Manager


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive sponsorship sales background and understanding of ad sales evaluation models and campaign delivery
  • Established UK media agency/client relationships and contacts
  • A working knowledge of the media planning process
  • Excellent organisational, negotiation and presentation skills
  • 1st class interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • Have a working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.


As a person you will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills to effectively work with and convey key messages to senior management and external contacts
  • Excellent organisational skills to work across multiple projects and time lines.


You will be:

  • Able to work across multiple projects and time lines
  • Have a strong list of existing contacts in the UK media agencies and preferably in the sponsorship teams.
  • Able to use analytical research skills to develop strategic responses to client briefs.
