Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager

This important position will be a part of the advertising sales function for Star UK, selling commercial time, ensuring effective utilisation of the available inventory.


  • Achievement of assigned targets within the specified time frame : Half Yearly & Annual Target
  • Yield Improvements over last year
  • New Business Development – convert non-TV clients
  • Key client management - Conceptualization & execution of out-of-the-box sales ideas / deals in conjunction with the brand solutions team
  • Good understanding of finance and traffic system to ensure the smooth bookings and invoices
  • Effective relationship management with clients and agencies
  • Competitive monitoring and market knowledge.


  • Qualifications: Post Graduate
  • Understanding of UK Media market, with experience of South Asian media
  • 5-8 years of experience, with experience handling media sales.


  • Ability to drive and achieve sales targets
  • Leverages relationships & is a capable networker
  • Should be both a category & a brand builder
  • Concise yet inspiring communicator 
  • Analytical yet creative bend of mind.  Ability to construct win-win deals for client/company.
